Brandon Backe (3-0), who is on a rehab assignment for the Houston Astros , earned the win for the Hooks. Backe pitched seven innings, allowing four runs and eight hits. James Van Ostrand and Andrew Locke homered for Corpus Christi during a seven-run second inning. Chad Tracy homered and had two RBIs for Frisco. Frisco trailed, 12-1, after six innings.
