Dodgers Seeking To Match Major League Record Tonight
The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to match the major league record for consecutive start-of-the-season home victories tonight when they face the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium in the finale of a two- game series.

The Dodgers' 7-2 victory over the Diamondbacks Monday night improved their home record to 11-0, breaking the tie they had held with three other teams for the National League record and moving to within one of the major league mark set by the 1911 Detroit Tigers.

Jeff Weaver (0-0) is scheduled to be the Dodgers' starting pitcher in what would be his first major league start since Sept. 28, 2007. Max Scherzer (0-2) is scheduled to start for Arizona. Scherzer has made 11 starts in his brief major league career, but has yet to record a victory.

The Dodgers' 19-8 record is the best in Major League Baseball and their best start through 27 games since 1983. Arizona is 11-15.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, the Ballet Folklorico Mexico will participate in pre-game festivities and perform on the Field Level concourse throughout the game. Mariachis will perform at each level of the stadium and in center field before the game.

In-game entertainment will include Mexican regional music and a tribute to the Dodgers' Latino players throughout the team's history.
