Arizona Diamondbacks Roster Report 2009-05-09

--OF Justin Upton extended his hitting streak to a career-high 15 games with a single to right field in the seventh inning. He is hitting .377 during the streak, and his six homers are tied for second in the majors during that stretch.

--OF Chris Young's run-scoring triple in the fifth inning was his first RBI since April 28. He has eight RBIs in 100 at-bats this season. He has two hits in his last 29 at-bats and was taken as part of a double-switch in the seventh inning Friday.

--RHP Yusmeiro Petit gave up four runs, including home runs by OF Adam Dunn and C Jesus Flores, in four innings Friday in his fifth start in place of RHP Brandon Webb (shoulder). Petit, 0-3, has given up eight home runs in 24 2/3 innings this season, and the D-backs are 0-5 in his starts.

RHP Tom Gordon (torn left hamstring) went on the 15-day disabled list May 4.

SS Stephen Drew (left hamstring strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 25.

RHP Brandon Webb (right shoulder bursitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 7. He threw a bullpen session April 21 but missed a session April 24 and was shut down. Webb is likely out until June.
