SS Josh Wilson was purchased from Class AAA Reno on Sunday to replace SS Stephen Drew (hamstring) on the 25-man roster. Drew was placed on the disabled list Sunday, retroactive to Saturday.
RHP Esmerling Vasquez was recalled from Class AAA Reno on Sunday to replace LHP Doug Slaten in the bullpen. PLAYER NEWS:
--LHP Doug Davis and RHPs Tony Pena and Juan Gutierrez combined on a two-hit shutout, the D-backs' third combined shutout of the season and the second involving Davis. Davis and RHP Chad Qualls combined on a shutout at San Francisco on April 18, while RHP Dan Haren, Pena and Qualls blanked Colorado on April 22. The D-backs' season record is 13 shutouts, set in 2001, when LHP Randy Johnson and RHP Albie Lopez had two and RHP Curt Schilling had one.
--OF/1B Conor Jackson had two RBIs in a 10-0 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday without putting a ball in play. He walked as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded in the seventh inning, and after remaining in the game, walked again with the bases loaded in the eighth. "It's nice, yeah, of course. Any RBI is nice," Jackson said. Jackson was brought in to pinch-hit for OF Eric Byrnes because he was 4-for-7 against Cubs RHP Carlos Marmol. "I don't change my approach or anything with the bases loaded," Jackson said.
--1B/3B Chad Tracy had a two-run double and a bases-empty home run off the Cubs' Ryan Dempster on Wednesday to improve his career line to 4-for-6 against the right-hander. "You try to learn from every at-bat," said Tracy, who singled after Dempster left the game and tied a career high with three runs scored.

SS Stephen Drew (left hamstring strain) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 25.
RHP Brandon Webb (right shoulder bursitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 7. He threw a bullpen session April 21 but missed a session April 24 and was shut down. Webb is likely out until June.
