--OF Adam Dunn will hit cleanup and play right field in his Diamondbacks debut Tuesday in Coors Field. Tied for the major league lead with 32 home runs, Dunn was acquired to add pop to a lineup that is 10th in the NL in runs and lost 2B Orlando Hudson for the season on Saturday. OF Eric Byrnes is also expected to miss the rest of the year.
--OF Conor Jackson became the regular in left field in July, after Eric Byrnes (left hamstring) was ruled out for several months, and is likely to remain there despite the acquisition of Adam Dunn, who has played left field most of his major league career in Cincinnati. "Conor has been real comfortable out there. He does a credible job. I'd like to keep him out there," manager Bob Melvin said. --2B Orlando Hudson underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his left wrist Monday afternoon after suffering a dislocated bone and ligament damage Saturday. He had the bone put back in place Saturday night.
--RHP Brandon Webb threw first-pitch strikes to 24 of the 26 batters he faced in winning his major league-high 17th game Sunday, his seventh consecutive quality start and his fourth straight victory. Webb also had a two-run double, giving him seven RBI on the season.
--3B Mark Reynolds, who leads the D-backs with 24 home runs and 79 RBI, had two strikeouts Sunday, setting a franchise season record with 147. 3B Troy Glaus had 145 in 2005, his only season with the Diamondbacks.
--SS Stephen Drew has a 13-game hitting streak and has hit safely in 25 of his 27 games since his last off day July 9. He is hitting .353 during the streak and is hitting .306 with four homers and 20 RBI in the leadoff spot.
--1B/3B Jamie D'Antona made his first major league start Sunday, going 0-for-1 with two walks while playing first base. D'Antona was robbed of a hit when Atlanta SS Yunel Escobar caught his line drive in the first inning.
--OF Justin Upton (left oblique strain) went 2-for-5 Monday in the first game of his rehab assignment with Class AAA Tucson. Upton, who has not played since suffering his injury July 9, is expected to spend at least a week on his rehab assignment.
--LHP Doug Slaten (right knee strain) is expected to be activated Tuesday, when the D-backs start a six-game road trip to Colorado and Houston.
