--C Chris Snyder left the game in the fourth inning after being hit in the groin with a foul tip in the bottom of the third. He is day-to-day. He was replaced behind the plate by C Miguel Montero.
--OF Eric Byrnes left the game with a strained left hamstring while trying to steal third base in the second inning. Byrnes missed 25 games earlier this season with tears in both hamstrings before being activated on June 23. He is headed back to the DL, manager Bob Melvin said. --RHP Micah Owings (groin) is tentatively set to start Wednesday, barring any setbacks. Owings left his last start in the fourth inning after getting injured covering first base on a grounder. If Owings can't pitch, RHP Yusmeiro Petit would be the most likely fill-in, provided he doesn't pitch in relief Tuesday.
--2B Orlando Hudson was given the day off after manager Bob Melvin noticed he was "a little bit run-down" after the previous nine-game road trip. Augie Ojeda started in his place.
--The Diamondbacks and the Class AA Mobile BayBears reached an agreement to extend their affiliation through 2010.
