--RHP Dan Haren hit the daily double Saturday when he beat Milwaukee and won two clubhouse Kentucky Derby pools by randomly drawing Mine That Bird, a 50-1 longshot. Haren, 3-3, won his third straight start and dropped his ERA to 1.47, the third lowest in the major leagues among qualifiers. All six of his starts have been quality starts.
--RHP Tom Gordon suffered a left leg injury while tagging out Milwaukee base runner Rickie Weeks at the plate in the sixth inning Sunday. Gordon was covering home plate after a wild pitch and Weeks, attempting to score from third, slid into Gordon's lower left leg. Gordon stayed on the ground momentarily and was helped off the field. He is to be reevaluated Monday. Gordon, 41, was making his third appearance since being activated from the disabled list Monday following offseason surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow and reposition his right ulnar nerve.
