--1B Conor Jackson bobbled a grounder in the third inning of a 9-6 loss to Colorado on April 21. The D-backs have not committed an error in eight consecutive games since, a streak that has reached 81 innings. The franchise record for consecutive errorless games is nine, set in 1999 and tied in 2005.
--By giving up four earned runs in two innings Thursday, Arizona's bullpen ERA climbed to 5.64, the worst in the NL. The D-backs did not offer contracts to free agent setup men Brandon Lyon and Juan Cruz in the offseason. Lyon signed with Detroit, Cruz with Kansas City. --The D-backs tied a franchise record when they received five walks in the seventh inning Wednesday, one off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster and four off reliever Carlos Marmol. One was intentional. They received five walks in an inning Oct. 2, 1999, at San Diego and again June 8, 2001, at Kansas City. Both Jackson and 3B Mark Reynolds walked with the bases loaded Wednesday.
