--By beating Colorado 2-0 on Wednesday, the Diamondbacks won their first series of the season, taking two out of the three from the Rockies in their second meeting at Chase Field this season. Arizona won one of three games in each of its first four series of the year. The D-backs are 3-3 against the Rockies after going 15-3 against them last year while winning all six series.
--Bench coach Kirk Gibson missed Wednesday's game with a case of the flu. --INF/OF Ryan Roberts' run-scoring single Wednesday was the second RBI of his career. His first came on Aug. 3, 2006, when he homered in his first major league start for Toronto at Yankee Stadium. That came in his fourth major league at-bat.
