--Managing general partner Ken Kendrick said he believes the 104 major leaguers who reportedly failed drug tests during the anonymous testing period in the 2003 season should be identified. "My attitude is that you have privacy rights on the part of the players on the one hand and you have the integrity of the game on the other," Kendrick said. "I think that the integrity of the game outweighs an individual's rights."

--OF/1B Conor Jackson agreed to a one-year, $3.05 million contract on Feb. 17, the day before the sides were set for an arbitration. The figure was the midpoint between the D-backs' $2.45 million offer and Jackson's $3.65 million request. Jackson hit a career-high .300 with 12 homers and 75 RBI last season, and he also set career highs in runs (87), triples (six) and stolen bases (10). It was his first season of arbitration eligibility.

--The D-backs' season-ticket renewal rate is about 83 percent, president and CEO Derrick Hall said Feb. 18. He also projected a 2009 attendance figure similar to the 2.5 million the team drew last season, its highest since 2004.
