Snyder is expected to receive about $14 million as the D-backs bought out his final two seasons of arbitration eligibility and have an option on his first free agent season, 2011.

In 479 major league at-bats, Hammock has hit .255 with 30 doubles, 12 homers and 48 RBIs. Shoulder and knee injuries caused him to miss most of the 2005 season.
